Requirements
- Have hands-on experience administering both GitHub and GitLab in an enterprise environment.
- Have a strong understanding of code management systems, branching, and access control.
- Have enough coding knowledge to read and understand enterprise DevOps scripts and code reviews.
- Work independently and take ownership of your work.
- Be able to work East Coast business hours.
- Experience migrating workflows from GitLab to GitHub is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, is preferred.
- Scripting experience, such as Python or Bash, is preferred.
- Experience in large, regulated organizations such as insurance or financial services is preferred.
- The role is part-time, with a minimum of 20–25 hours per week, and is a 14-month contract.
Responsibilities
- Administer GitHub and GitLab and provision and maintain repositories.
- Handle requests to create, remove, and update users and permissions.
- Manage and govern branches.
- Help replicate GitLab workflows and DevOps scripts in GitHub.
- Uphold code management standards across teams.
- Flag issues early and keep the DevOps lead informed.
