Requirements
- Have 7–10 years of software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on production experience with AI-assisted or agentic development.
- Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate expert-level experience delivering production software with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or comparable tools.
- Have experience with multi-agent orchestration and parallel workflows.
- Bring advanced prompting and context-engineering skills, including the ability to validate AI-generated code against tests and source materials.
- Have experience configuring agent development tools, including MCP servers, custom commands, hooks, rules, project context files, and CI integrations.
- Demonstrate full-stack code-reading, debugging, and architecture-review skills, including object-oriented programming with C#, Java, or TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Have experience with APIs, web service standards, relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, distributed systems, and message-driven architectures.
- Know automated testing, version control, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understand cloud architecture, secure software development, infrastructure automation, and delivery of reliable, maintainable, performant applications.
- Have experience handling confidential or regulated information and applying security, privacy, and data-protection practices.
- Be able to document and explain technical concepts clearly, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable production software across database, service, and application layers using AI coding agents.
- Break down engineering initiatives into tasks for multiple AI agents and parallel workflows, with defined context, constraints, acceptance criteria, and verification plans.
- Design and improve the agentic development environment, including context files, prompts, commands, hooks, MCP integrations, and CI/CD safeguards.
- Establish quality standards for AI-generated code through testing, code reviews, security assessments, performance validation, and HIPAA compliance.
- Lead integrations with third-party AI platforms, LLM APIs, and AI-powered IVR or conversational voice solutions.
- Partner with product management, software architects, and engineering teams to design and deliver products aligned with business and user needs.
- Improve practices for automation, auditability, infrastructure and policy as code, testing, data modeling, API development, query optimization, concurrency control, and cloud-native delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers in prompt engineering, context engineering, software architecture, and evaluation of AI-generated code.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders as a subject-matter expert to solve complex problems and communicate solutions.
