Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional QA or software testing experience, including at least 3 years developing and maintaining automated testing solutions.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, risk-based testing, test design, defect lifecycle management, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript and working knowledge of Python.
- Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, preferably Playwright; Cypress or Selenium are also considered.
- Experience building test frameworks, managing test data, maintaining stable test suites, and making tooling decisions.
- Practical experience using AI coding agents in test engineering and assessing AI-generated output.
- Understanding of LLM application failure modes and experience evaluating non-deterministic outputs with datasets, scoring rubrics, and pass thresholds.
- Practical performance testing experience with Locust, k6, JMeter, or comparable tools.
- Experience testing APIs and integrations, including contracts, data exchanges, and interconnected system behavior.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into build pipelines and working with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.
- Understanding of secure testing practices, test data management, and protection of sensitive healthcare information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in agile, distributed teams across time zones.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end QA strategy, including test plans, risk-based coverage targets, quality gates, and release readiness criteria.
- Evaluate, select, and document testing tools and architecture for user interfaces, APIs, integrations, performance, accessibility, and security.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and integrations.
- Automate coverage for critical healthcare workflows, including triage, clinical documentation, orders, and patient discharge.
- Develop load, stress, and soak tests, establish performance baselines, and identify regressions before release.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and apply parallel execution and AI-assisted test impact analysis.
- Investigate defects and root causes, and work with engineering teams to prevent recurring issues.
- Use AI tools to generate and maintain test scenarios, analyze failures, and evaluate AI-powered features for accuracy, safety, and reliability.
- Establish privacy-safe synthetic test data and evaluation frameworks using datasets, scoring rubrics, and regression gates.
- Track quality metrics and collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and clinical specialists on testing practices.
