Requirements
- Be a careful researcher who can patiently investigate subtle information retrieval tasks.
- Be able to find claims in academic papers, cross-reference financial documents, and track down original sources.
- Have strong familiarity with web research LLM tools, including chatbots with research tooling enabled.
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of web research LLM tools and update views as the tooling changes.
- Use research tools to get up to speed rapidly on new domains while remaining calibrated about uncertainty.
- Communicate reasoning and uncertainties quickly, concisely, and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
- Be available to start no later than Monday, August 3rd.
- Be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop tasks for training frontier models.
- Develop tasks for benchmarking frontier models.
- Investigate subtle information retrieval questions, including finding claims in academic papers.
- Cross-reference financial documents and track down original sources of claims.
- Use web research LLM tools to get up to speed on new domains.
- Assess research tools' strengths and weaknesses and update views as the tooling changes.
- Explain reasoning and uncertainties clearly in synchronous and asynchronous settings.
