Requirements
- Bring 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a heavy focus on advanced Python development.
- Have deep, practical knowledge of Python Asyncio and Python profiling.
- Demonstrate leadership experience, including leading teams and navigating ambiguous projects independently.
- Have strong software design and architecture skills.
- Have hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
- Understand networking protocols and operating systems.
- Have experience delivering, scaling, and troubleshooting production-grade distributed cloud systems.
- Be proficient with modern observability stacks and gRPC troubleshooting.
- Have strong LLM prompting capabilities.
- Hold a BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or have equivalent real-world experience.
- Technical SOC 2 compliance responsibilities are a bonus.
- Experience with real-time communication protocols such as WebRTC, STUN/TURN, SIP, RTP, HLS, or RTMP is a bonus.
- Experience with a strongly typed language or integrating Rust with Python (PyO3) is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Own critical components of the real-time, distributed backend ecosystem built with Python and Rust.
- Drive large-scale, technically complex initiatives from concept through production.
- Identify stability bottlenecks and resolve complex production issues.
- Lead initiatives to reduce the incident rate.
- Oversee the technical architecture of the SOC 2 compliance process and guide the team handling daily execution.
- Improve development velocity while maintaining reliability standards.
