Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, systems, integrations, or related technology environments.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate experience troubleshooting complex production systems and resolving issues across multiple technology layers.
- Have strong experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Have experience working with APIs, web services, data integrations, and enterprise application interfaces.
- Be able to analyze complex systems and trace issues across applications, databases, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences in writing and verbally.
- Work independently, prioritize competing demands, and take ownership of complex technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced production support for the Student Information System and related enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, and data issues, and identify root causes across multiple systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot integrations using APIs, web services, middleware, database interfaces, and other integration technologies.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and data flows, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, support procedures, and operational standards.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and technology initiatives from requirements analysis through post-production support.
- Collaborate with application developers, database administrators, infrastructure and functional teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Participate in incident response, problem management, and change management for critical systems.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, and contribute to architectural discussions and sustainable system solutions.
