Requirements
- Have an MD or DO degree.
- Maintain an active medical license in good standing.
- Meet credentialing requirements applicable to the services performed.
- Experience in general practice, primary care, wound care, post-acute care, geriatrics, skilled nursing, home-based medicine, telemedicine, or supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers is highly desirable.
- Be comfortable collaborating with advanced practice providers and supporting a clinical team in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide telemedicine physician services as scheduled.
- Provide general practice and wound care clinical consultation and physician oversight, as appropriate.
- Serve as a supervising or collaborating physician for designated advanced practice providers, as assigned and in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Review and sign clinical documentation when required.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to NPs, PAs, nurses, and other interdisciplinary care team members.
- Support clinical quality, continuity of care, and adherence to NIVA Health clinical standards.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership regarding patient care and provider needs.
- Maintain licenses, credentials, and professional requirements applicable to the services performed.
