Requirements
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in C/C++ for systems-level and performance-critical development.
- Bring experience with binary data formats, storage technologies, and file system internals.
- Have familiarity with backup solutions and technologies.
- Have familiarity with compression and encryption algorithms and implementations.
- Bonus: Bring experience in static or dynamic binary analysis, malware analysis, or digital forensics, using tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
- Bonus: Have working knowledge of Python or Rust for scripting and prototyping.
- Availability for some collaboration during U.S. business hours is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze proprietary on-disk formats and metadata to identify recovery strategies across the storage stack.
- Design and implement libraries and applications to parse, reconstruct, and extract data from storage systems, file systems, and backup applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to validate tool output and improve recovery workflows.
- Integrate tools with source control, CI pipelines, and dependency managers to support build and automation infrastructure.
