Requirements
- Hold a JD from an ABA-approved school.
- Maintain an active license to practice law in California.
- Have 8+ years of solid litigation experience.
- Bring experience with litigation support, deposition preparation, and trial preparation.
- Be able to manage full case-handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial.
- Have experience handling insurance defense matters (preferred, not required).
- Have experience with time management systems.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Be able to think and act independently with minimal supervision.
- Bring strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling case themes.
- Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
- Manage all facets of discovery and trial.
- Communicate routinely with clients.
- Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys at all experience levels.
- Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
- Handle matters involving habitability claims, landlord-tenant disputes, premises-related issues, general negligence, personal injury, and other civil litigation.
