Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- At least 5 years of general ledger and financial reporting experience.
- Working knowledge of all areas of the accounting cycle.
- Experience with project budgets and financial project management support.
- Experience with Earned Value Analysis.
- Experience with contract review.
- Ability to undertake occasional domestic and international travel, including overnight stays.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or a related software package.
- Strong Excel and PC skills.
- Preferred: MBA, CPA for North America or equivalent local qualification, CRO industry experience, and QuickBooks.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams with financial activities associated with running clinical trials.
- Prepare the monthly invoicing worksheet used for client invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Compare forecasted revenue with actual revenue and identify gaps or scope changes.
- Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities to identify out-of-scope work.
- Perform monthly Earned Value Analyses with Project Directors and Project Managers, and participate in project review meetings as needed.
- Support preparation of statements of work and change orders.
- Support financial reporting, general ledger functions, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Respond to financial results inquiries and prepare special reports and ad hoc project analyses.
- Help develop and implement procedures and features to improve workflow and internal controls.
