  • Have owned a platform or framework layer used by multiple internal teams.
  • Have a strong backend engineering foundation and hands-on experience building frontend components consumed and extended by other engineering teams.

  • Bonus: Experience designing SDKs or self-service developer platforms for multiple internal teams.

  • Evolve the platform framework, SDK, and interfaces, including agentic and tool-based interfaces for AI consumers.
  • Make platform-level tradeoffs about framework scope, build versus buy, refactoring versus patching, and flexibility versus opinionated speed.
  • Drive ambiguous or contested decisions forward by involving appropriate stakeholders and owning the outcomes.
  • Set the multi-year technical strategy with Engineering Management, Product, Design, and senior EPD leadership.
  • Align product engineering teams around the platform roadmap through technical leadership and collaboration.
  • Build backend APIs, SDKs, and frontend components as a hands-on backend-primary full-stack engineer.
  • Coach and develop engineers toward senior- and staff-level impact, setting design and review standards and providing architectural guidance.
