Requirements
- Have 10+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, or analytical AI, in roles such as Lead or Senior Scientist or Lead for Analytics, ML, or AI.
- Bring current knowledge of generative AI and the large language model landscape, including commercial and open-source options.
- Have expert-level data science experience, including data mining, statistics, and machine learning.
- Understand analytical and generative AI.
- Be experienced in evaluating available data assets and profiling them.
- Understand model selection, training, and fine-tuning, as well as model efficacy metrics and bias management.
- Understand intellectual property considerations, ML Ops and related tooling, and cloud hosting and self-hosting options and economics.
- Have knowledge of multimodal AI, including text, NLP, voice, images, and video, and AI-enabled software engineering.
- Hold an advanced degree in computer science, statistics, advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, or AI.
- Be willing to learn areas outside your initial comfort zone and collaborate effectively while working self-directed.
Responsibilities
- Drive AI assessment efforts for investment companies, evaluating technical investment risks and preparing reports for investors.
- Identify improvements to existing AI technology, organizations, processes, and tools.
- Help private equity companies and other investment firms assess technology strengths, risks, and improvement opportunities in potential investments.
- Implement solutions from scratch, including Agile methodology transformations.
- Participate in hands-on implementation projects using applicable processes and technologies.
- Manage projects through successful completion, collaborating with teams and contributing hands-on.
- Partner with internal and client technical leads and team members.
- Guide and mentor junior software developers and other engineers.
