Requirements
- Have 2+ years of experience working on large-scale codebases for web services, applications, or other software components.
- Have 2+ years of experience with the Java programming stack.
- Preferred: experience building and architecting scalable systems in the Oracle ecosystem.
- Preferred: proficiency across the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: experience communicating with peers, technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Preferred: experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems.
- Preferred: knowledge of Oracle and either PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Responsibilities
- Build cloud-based solutions to accelerate migrations to the cloud.
- Solve complex migration problems and propose migration solutions.
- Create technical strategies and deliver with limited guidance.
- Design and code architecture focused on performance, availability, and business value.
- Understand the team's architecture and make technical trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs.
- Influence the software architecture of the team and related teams.
- Mentor junior software engineers and software developers in their engineering duties.
