Requirements
- Have at least 7 years of experience designing and deploying cloud solutions, especially on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google platforms, and experience with workload migrations.
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent; the posting also lists a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related course.
- Have a minimum of 10+ years of relevant application architecture experience.
- Have experience architecting, designing, and developing applications on AWS.
- Have strong experience with cloud platform services, including their capabilities and limitations.
- Have practical application development experience on Linux- and Windows-based systems.
- Have experience architecting highly available systems using load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability.
- Have experience designing and building applications with container and serverless technologies.
- Have exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- Have experience working directly with customers, partners, or third-party developers.
- Understand implementation of advanced security, authentication, and single sign-on across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Have experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles.
Responsibilities
- Lead cultural change for cloud adoption.
- Develop and coordinate cloud architecture.
- Develop cloud strategy and coordinate the adaptation process.
- Assess applications, software, and hardware.
- Establish cloud best practices across the company.
- Select cloud providers and vet third-party services.
- Work with IT security to monitor privacy and develop incident-response procedures.
- Manage budgets and estimate costs.
- Configure and monitor cloud application attributes and handle scale-up and scale-down scenarios.
- Monitor applications using Operations Insight and Application Insights, and provide best practices for provisioning production and non-production environments.
