Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of experience leading small technical teams with direct responsibility for deliverables.
- Have at least 6 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack engineering.
- Bring experience with healthcare data regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST, and data formats such as FHIR.
- Translate product requirements into technical task breakdowns.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience.
- Understand cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and cloud-native development.
- Be proficient with relational and NoSQL databases, including examples such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
- Have experience with API design, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Demonstrate capability in system architecture, scalability, security best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction, unblock developers, and drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate daily standups, weekly sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team retrospectives.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code in collaboration with the team.
- Own software from requirements development through deployment and maintenance.
- Architect, optimize, and maintain databases for reliability and performance.
- Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
