Requirements
- Have three to ten years of relevant experience.
- Have shipped and maintained production web applications or services.
- Have strong programming skills in a modern language such as Python or TypeScript.
- Have sound software design fundamentals.
- Have experience building APIs and backend services.
- Have experience with document-processing workflows.
- Have experience with production AI or LLM integrations.
- Have experience with databases, cloud infrastructure, or distributed backend systems.
- Have practical testing, debugging, and code review skills.
- Frontend development experience or experience with products involving complex data and security needs is valuable.
- Bring clear written communication, ownership, and an interest in legal technology and how legal professionals work.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable APIs, backend services, and document-processing workflows for research, drafting, review, and completed work.
- Deliver product features from technical design through release and iteration, collaborating with engineers and domain experts.
- Integrate AI capabilities into production workflows, focusing on quality, speed, and dependable behavior.
- Improve interfaces for complex document tasks and collaborate across the stack.
- Translate user needs into engineering plans and communicate technical tradeoffs.
- Improve performance, investigate production issues, and strengthen testing, monitoring, and code quality.
