Requirements
- Experience with Snowflake and advanced SQL, including query optimization, schema design, and semantic views.
- Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience structuring data for analytics.
- Experience with a modern BI tool such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience with dashboard design principles, data storytelling, and user-focused visualization.
- Practical experience working in AI-assisted development settings using Copilot or other GenAI tools.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with dbt is a plus.
- Familiarity with SSIS and SSRS is a plus.
- Familiarity with DAX, Power Query, and PBIP is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build data models connecting the Snowflake data warehouse to downstream analytics layers.
- Develop and optimize data transformation logic, including views, schemas, and staging areas.
- Define business logic and calculations to support a single source of truth.
- Document data lineage and relationships within data models.
- Design and develop dashboards focused on data storytelling, visual design, and user experience.
- Build analytics solutions using BI tools such as Power BI and Looker based on business and stakeholder needs.
- Troubleshoot and optimize report performance and data quality issues.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs.
- Present analytical findings and insights to leadership and operational teams.
- Lead proof of concept projects and contribute to data governance and technical documentation.
