Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in analytical projects and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Understanding of retail and small business loan products, preferably unsecured loans and credit cards.
- Understanding of loan and credit card profitability drivers, including interest rate structure, cost of funds, operating expenses, fees, and losses.
- Familiarity with credit strategies, risk, and pricing is preferred.
- Knowledge of risk and profitability management across the customer life cycle.
- Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience designing and implementing A/B tests.
- Ability to develop roadmaps and prioritize workload.
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze loans funded by BHG and partner banks to identify credit portfolio trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop forecasts for future credit losses and turn portfolio performance into actionable insights.
- Build and evaluate strategies to improve credit risk characteristics and support increased loan origination volume.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide portfolio insights for business strategies and decisions.
- Analyze data using SQL and/or Python to evaluate performance and support strategic recommendations.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Use advanced Excel to analyze data and develop executive-ready PowerPoint presentations.
- Present analyses, recommendations, and portfolio insights to internal stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Take on analytical projects and business priorities for the Credit Portfolio Analytics team.
