Requirements
- Have experience working at a similar level in a mature engineering team.
- Have technical expertise in at least one programming language; the team uses Python, Kotlin, and some Ruby.
- Ideally have experience with relational databases.
- A degree in a STEM subject is helpful but not required.
- Demonstrate impact in previous roles.
- Work proactively and independently to overcome hurdles and drive outcomes.
- Maintain high standards and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Define technical solutions to business problems and contribute to an architectural vision designed to scale.
- Build and ship code using Kotlin microservices with Postgres, while working with React on the frontend and maintaining older Ruby on Rails services.
- Assess new technologies that could improve the technology stack.
- Deploy frequently using CircleCI and Spinnaker for CI/CD.
- Gather customer feedback and use it to inform the next iteration.
- Monitor services, diagnose root causes of errors, and deploy fixes.
