Requirements
- Provide a portfolio or channel demonstrating storytelling ability in the editing timeline.
- Demonstrate skill in pacing, sound design, and visual clarity.
- Understand why designers use Mobbin and how to identify important moments in app screen recordings.
- Translate scripts into edits that resonate with the Mobbin audience and branding.
- Understand YouTube retention curves, hooks, and the importance of the first 30 seconds.
- Be fluent in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent editing tools.
- Manage your own schedule as a part-time contractor.
- Communicate clearly, meet agreed deadlines, and flag problems early.
Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos using raw footage, screen recordings, and scripts.
- Shape pacing and story to maintain viewer attention.
- Clean dialogue and select music and sound effects.
- Apply color correction and create captions, subtitles, on-screen text, and callouts that clarify UI details.
- Turn around edits on an agreed schedule and incorporate feedback.
- Keep project files organized between editing rounds.
