Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 5 years of experience with System on a Chip (SoC) cycles.
- Have experience with advanced design, including clock/voltage domain crossing, DFT, and low-power designs.
- Have experience in high-performance, high-frequency, and low-power designs.
- A master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with an emphasis on computer architecture is a bonus.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Tcl is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Use problem-solving and simulation techniques to ensure performance, power, and area (PPA) meet defined requirements.
- Collaborate with functional design, DFT, architecture, and packaging engineers.
- Debug failures and performance shortfalls with cross-functional teams in lab or simulation.
- Design chips, chip subsystems, or subsystem partitions from synthesis through place and route.
- Drive sign-off convergence and ensure designs meet architecture goals for power, performance, and area.
- Develop, validate, and improve EDA methodology for specialized sign-off or implementation domains.
- Enable cross-functional teams to build and deliver correct-by-construction blocks and improve convergence.
