Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience across security engineering.
- Bring depth in at least two of vulnerability management, product/application security testing, incident response, and cloud security.
- Be able to read and reason about code; the team uses TypeScript.
- Be comfortable working in cloud environments; GCP experience is a plus.
- Be comfortable using AI coding and security tools, such as Linear Agent, Claude, and Codex.
- Be able to lead an incident from initial alert through postmortem.
- Be willing to build scripts or tools to replace repetitive manual processes.
- Work independently, set priorities, and know when to escalate.
- Explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and document actionable next steps.
Responsibilities
- Operate, automate, and extend vulnerability management, including triage, prioritization, and remediation across product, infrastructure, and dependencies.
- Run the bug bounty program by triaging reports, validating severity, coordinating fixes, and maintaining researcher relationships.
- Threat model new features, review designs and code, and conduct hands-on product security testing.
- Lead security incident investigations and containment, run postmortems, and translate lessons into hardening work.
- Harden cloud and infrastructure configurations across GCP, Kubernetes, and Postgres, and partner with infrastructure engineering on secure defaults.
- Build and maintain security tooling and automation, including use of AI/LLM tools for triage, code review, and investigation.
- Partner with GRC/Trust to contribute findings to the risk register and control evidence.
