Requirements
- Have 5+ years of product design experience with a track record of significant ownership.
- Bring experience ideally gained at an early-stage startup or in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, from research and strategy through polished, shipped UI.
- Have experience owning or significantly contributing to a design system.
- Demonstrate strong UX writing skills, including drafting clear, plain-language product copy.
- Have experience independently running user research and competitive analysis and translating findings into product decisions.
- Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration with engineers, marketers, and business stakeholders.
- Use AI tools daily to support work.
- Experience in insurtech, fintech, or consumer marketplaces is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and iterations for website features and experiments.
- Gather internal stakeholder feedback on product features and resolve conflicting input.
- Build and manage the design system with the senior marketing designer.
- Review shipped engineering work against designs before release.
- Draft product UX copy for quote flows, plan explanations, and error states.
- Coordinate legal and compliance reviews of product copy.
- Support brand development across product, site, and marketing assets.
- Analyze the pet insurance and marketplace landscape and feed findings into the roadmap.
- Run user tests with pet parents and veterinary staff, analyze behavior, and translate findings into product ideas and design decisions.
