Requirements
- Have built and run backend services in production.
- Be comfortable working backend-first.
- Have shipped production web code with React.
- Be able to maintain and scale an existing web application.
- Have integrated external providers or SDKs.
- Know how to design integrations so a single provider does not lock the product in.
- Be able to own changes across backend and web.
- Ruby experience is a plus, but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Replace the tightly coupled identity verification solution with a provider-agnostic service that Qonto teams can use.
- Improve the KYC conversion path from KYC started to KYC submission across backend and web.
- Load provider SDKs in the browser and handle the errors they return.
- Maintain and scale the web side of provider integrations as usage grows.
- Handle provider failures and retries, improve observability, and support safe production operation of integrations.
- Design an interchangeable layer for verification providers with distinct SDKs, errors, and behavior.
- Build reliable APIs that other Qonto teams can depend on.
