Requirements
- Have 6+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years focused on cloud technologies.
- Bring strong hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience, including writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex cloud configurations.
- Have experience developing in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
- Have demonstrable experience designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure and services on a major cloud platform.
- Be able to document and communicate architectural concepts through presentations, architecture visuals, and white papers.
- Have experience negotiating tradeoffs among security, performance, maintainability, and cost.
- Have experience working in Agile software teams and solid experience with Linux environments.
- Understand cloud architecture patterns and tradeoffs, including serverless versus provisioned and managed services versus self-hosting.
- Have expertise with build and deployment automation tools and proficiency with infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Have experience with data storage, data engineering, and networking tools and technologies.
- Hold a technical cloud certification or be willing to obtain one.
- Be fully eligible and able to clear the NOAA background investigation process to obtain a NOAA badge; an active NOAA CAC badge is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with security experts to translate organizational security requirements into secure and compliant cloud implementations.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code across Azure and AWS accounts.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD automation pipelines for software deployments.
- Create automation scripts in Python, Bash, JavaScript, and other relevant languages.
- Contribute to infrastructure supporting Generative AI applications on domain-specific datasets.
- Automate the creation and management of applications, pipelines, and security tooling.
- Define and advocate for DevOps best practices and standards across Element 84 and customer organizations.
