Requirements
- Have 6+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years focused on cloud technologies.
- Bring hands-on experience writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure-as-code configurations.
- Have experience developing in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
- Demonstrate experience designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure and services on a major cloud platform.
- Communicate and document architectural concepts through presentations, architecture visuals, and white papers.
- Have experience balancing security, performance, maintainability, and cost tradeoffs.
- Have experience working in an Agile software development team and in Linux environments.
- Understand cloud architecture patterns and tradeoffs, including serverless versus provisioned and managed services versus self-hosting.
- Have expertise with build and deployment automation tools.
- Be proficient with infrastructure monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, AWS Config, Kibana, Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Honeycomb.
- Have experience with data storage and data engineering technologies, and with cloud networking and troubleshooting.
- Hold a technical cloud certification or be willing to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, secure cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with security experts to translate organizational security requirements into secure, compliant cloud implementations.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code across numerous Azure and AWS accounts.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD automation pipelines for rapid, reliable software deployments.
- Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, JavaScript, and other relevant languages.
- Contribute to infrastructure supporting generative AI applications on domain-specific datasets.
- Automate creation and management of front-end and back-end applications, pipelines, and security tooling.
- Define and advocate DevOps best practices and standards across Element 84 and customer organizations.
