Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Have substantial hands-on experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing engineering, or engineering analysis.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and fundamental engineering principles.
- Have practical experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
- Be able to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, component assemblies, and design requirements.
- Have experience performing mechanical calculations, assessing design performance, and validating engineering decisions.
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving and attention to detail when evaluating technical inconsistencies and design trade-offs.
- Be able to document engineering workflows and clearly explain technical decisions, assumptions, and conclusions.
- Have strong written English skills for technical explanations, assessment documentation, and collaboration.
- A master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Familiarity with FEA, CFD, or other engineering simulation tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing tolerances, and applicable engineering standards is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Design realistic mechanical engineering assessment tasks based on product development, manufacturing, and industrial engineering workflows.
- Produce and assess 2D technical drawings, 3D CAD models, mechanical assemblies, and engineering specifications.
- Develop tasks involving component design, material selection, tolerance analysis, and mechanical optimization.
- Prepare and validate calculations related to stress, strain, forces, thermal behavior, and mechanical performance.
- Interpret and assess FEA, CFD, and manufacturing simulation outputs where applicable.
- Identify design inconsistencies, flawed assumptions, manufacturing limitations, tolerance conflicts, and potential mechanical failures.
- Create reference solutions with traceable calculations, engineering explanations, and documented assumptions.
- Review AI-produced designs, calculations, technical documentation, and simulation interpretations.
- Collaborate with technical contributors to develop reproducible tasks and objective evaluation criteria.
