Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience with SQL Server; internships and personal projects are welcome.
- Hold AZ-900 and AI-901 certifications or obtain them within 180 days of hire.
- Basic understanding of core database concepts, security best practices, and system administration.
- Familiarity with containerization, such as Docker, and distributed systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available for on-call duty outside regular working hours as needed.
- Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone and work eastern hours.
- Must reside in one of the listed states: NY, NJ, FL, GA, PA, CT, IL, MD, TN, NC, MI, or TX.
- Must attend headquarters in person approximately two times per year.
Responsibilities
- Assist with configuring and maintaining SQL Server and Kafka systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Execute operational checklists for backup, disaster recovery, and patching efforts.
- Support system monitoring and alerting activities.
- Maintain documentation of operational processes and system changes.
- Collaborate with platform team members and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and support day-to-day operations.
- Escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Participate in discussions about process improvement and platform efficiency.
- Provide on-call support outside regular working hours as needed.
- Collaborate with the Talent team in hiring and recruitment activities, including interviews.
