Requirements
- Have shipped and owned a product or major features in production end-to-end.
- Build software that remains easy to change and maintain, and explain architectural trade-offs.
- Have hands-on TypeScript and Node.js backend experience.
- Have React frontend experience and MongoDB or another database experience.
- Have hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Use coding agents as a primary way of working and be able to demonstrate how you use them.
- Have built LLM-powered features in production with evaluations and informed latency and cost trade-offs.
- Understand how SOC2 and HIPAA affect software decisions about data, access, and logging.
- Be able to propose user interactions and design a clean UI without a detailed mockup.
- Speak and write English at C1 level or above.
- Have experience with SIP, call routing, or VoIP (nice to have).
- Have experience with EHR systems or integrations in healthcare or other regulated domains (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Own product features from research and requirements refinement with the CPO through design, implementation, release, and production monitoring.
- Build backend services and APIs in TypeScript and Node.js, frontend features in React, and AWS infrastructure as code.
- Design how AI agents use models and tools, and build evaluations to assess changes.
- Make deliberate trade-offs among LLM quality, latency, and cost.
- Integrate with SIP telephony, call routing, EHR systems, LLM providers, and other services.
- Contribute to technical and architectural decisions, and write and review technical proposals.
- Mentor engineers through design and code reviews, pairing, and guidance on working with coding agents.
- Prototype unfamiliar technologies and problems, measure results, and present trade-offs and implementation proposals.
- Monitor production systems, reduce alert noise, and identify and fix performance bottlenecks.
- Improve agent workflows, codebase structure, reusable skills, commands, and instructions.
