Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering management role.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, coach, and develop engineers of varying seniority levels.
- Have a strong technical foundation, ideally as a former senior engineer, and engage meaningfully on architecture, system design, and technical tradeoffs.
- Have experience in early-stage or 0→1 product environments with rapidly evolving requirements.
- Have experience in a regulated industry such as fintech or healthcare.
- Bring a track record of hiring, onboarding, and ramping engineers and building team cohesion.
- Have delivered complex, multi-quarter initiatives with cross-functional dependencies.
- Be able to align engineers, product managers, and design partners around technical direction.
- Demonstrate sound decision-making amid ambiguity while balancing data, speed, and quality.
- Be open to using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers; hire strategically and strengthen team composition, quality, and delivery.
- Deliver multi-quarter roadmap initiatives covering compliance workflows, FedRAMP/CMMC/NIST capabilities, and integrations for government vendors and customers.
- Partner with Product and Design to translate evolving design-partner requirements into focused engineering plans.
- Manage scope, sequencing, and cross-functional dependencies in a 0→1 product environment.
- Establish engineering operating rhythms, standards, and practices that scale with the product, team, and customer base.
