Requirements
- Have a completed or ongoing university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Have solid experience with SQL and programming, preferably Python.
- Have practical experience with PostgreSQL, including database operations and data modeling.
- Have knowledge and experience with AWS infrastructure in data engineering environments.
- Be proficient with data workflow orchestration and transformation tools, particularly Prefect and dbt.
- Understand data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and scalable data engineering practices.
- Be familiar with data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures and data structure design.
- Understand data solution architecture and contribute to reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems.
- Bring analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data quality, performance, and technical reliability.
- Communicate and collaborate with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve data architectures across data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse environments.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Design and implement reliable data pipelines that provide efficient access to high-quality data.
- Model databases using established design principles and dimensional modeling techniques, including Kimball methodology.
- Configure, maintain, and improve data infrastructure in AWS environments.
- Orchestrate data workflows using dbt and Prefect.
- Monitor and improve data system availability, performance, reliability, and quality.
- Establish data governance practices and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with business functions to translate requirements into data models and technical solutions.
- Develop automations, dashboards, and metrics to address business needs.
