- Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, or similarly fast-moving environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance code quality with delivery speed.
- Excellent English communication skills and experience collaborating with international teams.
- Willingness and comfort working with uncensored AI companionship products and explicit NSFW content.
- Technical stack includes PostgreSQL, Redis, Hotwire (Turbo and Stimulus), and Tailwind CSS.
- Preferred: experience with generative AI, large language models, natural language processing, or machine learning.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern Rails development practices and AI-assisted coding tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Build new product features and improve existing platform functionality.
- Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and estimate development efforts.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code for production environments.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical decision-making.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Own features from requirements and implementation through testing and deployment.
- Work with distributed engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions.
- Contribute to improvements in development practices, tooling, and engineering workflows.
