Requirements
- Hold a master’s or higher degree in nursing.
- Have mastery knowledge of the Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Blueprint.
- Hold a current unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.
- Have at least 2 years of experience teaching or presenting at conferences as a podium presenter; 5+ years is preferred.
- Maintain expertise in the NP certification exam.
- Maintain and improve evidence-based knowledge of advanced practice.
- Demonstrate technological competence with a variety of applications.
- Have a computer with reliable internet access.
- Be able to travel and present two to four review courses per year.
- Experience as a family, psychiatric mental health, or adult geriatric acute care nurse practitioner is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver Nurse Practitioner certification review courses online or in person.
- Use adult pedagogy to engage students and support retention of exam content.
- Use technology to provide live instruction for participants preparing for the NP certification exam.
- Understand APEA products and solutions to assist customers.
- Follow a consistent process to deliver high-quality review courses.
- Use client feedback to improve presentation delivery.
- Support integration of APEA solutions into APRN programs.
- Use data to guide APRN program faculty in evidence-based remediation strategies.
- Support content development as a subject matter expert.
