Requirements
- Hold active New Jersey RN licensure and APN certification in the appropriate psychiatric/mental-health category.
- Hold current PMHNP board certification.
- Have New Jersey prescribing authority and required practice arrangements in place.
- Have appropriate DEA and New Jersey controlled-substance credentials when required for assigned medications.
- Have experience with psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
- Have experience with electronic records and telehealth.
- Be competent to care for the patient ages assigned.
- Meet applicable payer enrollment eligibility and have appropriate malpractice arrangements before engagement.
- Outpatient addiction treatment, IOP, or residential program experience is preferred.
- Child and adolescent experience is preferred when supporting those ages.
- New Jersey Medicaid experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients through remote outpatient services.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe within New Jersey authority.
- Monitor medication response and side effects.
- Manage medication refills and patient questions.
- Maintain electronic records, including agreed documentation.
- Coordinate care with the medical director and clinical team.
- Participate in virtual case reviews.
