Requirements
- Have several years of experience doing both visual design and coding for live websites.
- Bring strong visual and typographic judgment.
- Be fluent in HTML and CSS, including modern layout.
- Be comfortable with JavaScript for building designed interactions.
- Be comfortable in React or able to become productive in a React codebase within a couple of weeks.
- Build landing pages quickly using reusable modules where appropriate and one-off solutions when speed matters.
- Be able to work from marketing briefs and take ownership of how pages look and are built.
- Self-manage reliably and keep others updated without being chased.
- Use AI in your work.
- Nice to have: HubSpot and HubL experience, motion and interaction design, or experience with B2B software marketing websites.
Responsibilities
- Design and build website pages, campaign landing pages, and new sections from first sketch through launch.
- Turn positioning and campaign briefs into effective pages.
- Build reusable modules for campaign and landing pages, considering page conversion.
- Work with HubSpot themes, templates, modules, and the local build setup.
- Write clean, hand-written HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when the design requires it.
- Maintain site performance, accessibility, and consistency.
- Document work and hand over a site others can run.
- Coordinate with the Creative Director and Visual Designer when a page needs art direction or new content.
