At least 7 years of commercial Node.js development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering and production-grade applications.
Solid commercial experience with React and the ability to develop and maintain scalable frontend applications.
Hands-on experience with NestJS and expertise designing, implementing, and maintaining REST APIs and backend services.
Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including database design, query optimization, and efficient data access patterns.
Practical AWS experience, particularly with Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and related cloud infrastructure.
Understanding of software testing, Git workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development methodologies.
Ability to investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver solutions independently.
Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2+) or higher, including the ability to communicate daily with a UK-based team.
A proactive approach, attention to detail, and ownership of features throughout the software development lifecycle.
The initial contract engagement is approximately 6–12 months.
Strong commercial TypeScript experience is a plus.
Docker or containerization experience, and familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, are nice to have.

Build and maintain responsive React applications for operational planning, scheduling, and management workflows.
Develop and maintain scalable Node.js and NestJS backend services and REST APIs.
Own full stack features from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Design PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries, and maintain efficient data access.
Deploy, operate, and support applications on AWS, including cloud infrastructure.
Contribute to architectural discussions, recommend technical solutions, review code, and help establish engineering standards.
Implement testing strategies, support release activities, and contribute to CI/CD processes.
Investigate production incidents, resolve technical issues, and improve platform stability, performance, and scalability.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and UK-based stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Use tools including Cursor and Claude Code to support software development workflows.
