Requirements
- Have 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bring deep Ruby/Rails expertise in domain modeling, background jobs, API design, and performance.
- Have a track record designing scalable APIs and data models.
- Apply strong instincts for permissions, idempotency, and auditability in systems that move real money.
- Be proficient working with coding agents.
- Have familiarity with AWS and infrastructure-as-code.
- Have experience integrating third-party systems such as payments, identity, CRM, and payroll, and designing for their failure.
Responsibilities
- Own major feature development across products from design doc through deployment and monitoring.
- Build typed, permissioned, logged tool actions for agents, with staging-and-promote patterns that gate writes to plans.
- Design and run the data connectivity layer for recordkeeper feeds, payroll providers, payments, and identity.
- Make human and agent actions traceable, explainable, and regulator-ready.
- Lead architectural discussions and write design docs.
- Mentor through code review.
