Requirements
- Have at least 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a related technical discipline.
- Have strong hands-on experience managing production infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Have solid working knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure architecture.
- Understand distributed systems and components including queues, workers, databases, caching, networking, and load balancing.
- Have experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Be able to work across the technology stack, from networking and load balancers to CI/CD pipelines and application delivery systems.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate ownership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work independently while recognizing when collaboration or support is needed.
- Have excellent written and spoken English and maintain consistent overlap with Americas working hours.
- Preferred: experience operating high-throughput production systems at significant scale.
- Preferred: experience building internal developer platforms, engineering tooling, or self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Preferred: background in developer tools, public APIs, email infrastructure, or similar technology platforms.
- Preferred: strong technical experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, and PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Build and improve internal platform tools, automation, and self-service workflows.
- Establish platform standards, architectural patterns, and best practices for service development, deployment, and operations.
- Improve system reliability, performance, security, and observability through monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
- Participate in incident response, investigate infrastructure issues, and implement long-term improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify infrastructure challenges and develop reusable solutions.
- Support distributed systems and production workloads across networking, load balancing, databases, caching, queues, workers, and delivery pipelines.
- Contribute to technical decisions, communicate architectural trade-offs, and own platform initiatives from design through production operation.
