Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in software development and quality assurance, focused on API automation.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java and RestAssured.
- Proficiency in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, Hoppscotch, or ReadyAPI, and knowledge of API security testing principles such as OWASP.
- Experience building reusable automation frameworks, designing data-driven tests, and maintaining comprehensive test coverage.
- Familiarity with AI models, test-case generation, scenario identification, and configuring AI agents for testing automation.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices architecture, dependency injection, and RESTful API development and testing.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform services.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Xray, including test-case management and execution tracking.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra, and experience with data quality testing and large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an API automation strategy aligned with quality objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable API automation frameworks using Java, RestAssured or Karate, and BDD practices.
- Create automated tests for API functionality, data integrity, performance, and security.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Use AI models and agents to generate test cases, identify scenarios, and improve test execution and analysis.
- Manage test cases, execution plans, and results in Xray, maintaining traceability in Jira.
- Validate Spring Boot and Spring Cloud microservices, RESTful APIs, and services deployed on Google Cloud Platform.
- Verify data quality across relational and NoSQL databases, including large datasets.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, architects, and integration partners to clarify requirements and identify quality risks.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, communicate quality metrics, and promote QA standards.
