- Experience
- Equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating, or equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating, depending on qualification category.
Requirements
- Be a native French Canadian speaker.
- Meet at least one of the stated ISO 17100 qualification criteria.
- Hold a translation, linguistics, or language studies degree, or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or
- Hold a degree in another field from a recognized institution of higher education and have the equivalent of two years of full-time professional translation experience; or
- Have the equivalent of five years of full-time professional translation experience.
- Be prepared to provide documentary evidence of professional translation experience when experience is used to meet the qualification requirements.
- Have MemoQ knowledge; this is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Translate content from English (US) to French (CA).
- Work on human resources content, including policies, insurance, open enrollment, training, and interviews.
- Translate marketing surveys.
- Translate life science content.
- Translate technical content related to renewable energy.
