Requirements

- Demonstrate the ability to articulate ideas effectively in written and oral forms.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to automate and streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and adapt to change.
- Be willing to accommodate a work schedule according to the Eastern Time Zone.
- Relevant internship experience applying analytical and problem-solving skills is preferred.
- Willingness to learn technologies such as SQL, VBA, and PowerPlatform is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop pricing assumptions and submit bids.
- File premium rates and rate certifications with regulatory agencies to obtain approval.
- Support the implementation of rates, new plans, and benefit changes.
- Advise Product Development on the cost impact of new products and benefits.
- Develop and maintain tools for pricing standard and custom benefits.
- Establish market-level financial metrics aligned with segment profitability goals and analyze results and projections.
- Recommend pricing actions to address gaps in targeted performance.
- Use market-level projections and experience-data tools to identify root causes and actionable insights.
- Research the competitive landscape and collaborate with Sales and market-supporting partners on strategies for profitable membership growth.
- Provide actuarial certifications related to rate filings, including attesting to compliance with state and federal rating and benefit regulations.
