Requirements
- Have 6–8 years of Java development experience, including Spring Boot and microservices experience.
- Have 7+ years of experience building scalable, high-performing, robust applications.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree.
- Have experience with Java 1.8, Spring, Spring Boot, and reactive Java.
- Have experience developing microservices and applying design patterns and functional programming.
- Have experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Azure cloud experience is a plus.
- Have experience with JUnit, Mockito, REST Assured, and PACT for microservices testing.
- Have experience with NoSQL technologies such as Cassandra, Redis, or MongoDB.
- Have experience with an IDE such as IntelliJ or Eclipse.
- Have experience with continuous integration and continuous development and code quality tools such as Sonar, PMD, and CheckStyle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and implement Java application functionality in line with customer requirements and organizational standards.
- Develop microservices using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, reactive Java, functional programming, and design patterns.
- Containerize application artifacts with Docker and deploy them to Azure using Kubernetes orchestration.
- Secure, manage, and maintain APIs and API gateways.
- Write unit and API tests using JUnit, Mockito, REST Assured, and PACT.
- Work with Cassandra, MongoDB, and Redis NoSQL databases.
- Build tools and CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins; use Git and SVN branching and merging strategies.
- Participate in system and acceptance testing using REST, SOAP UI, and Postman.
- Respond to production problems and implement timely resolutions and system enhancements.
