Requirements
- Have 6+ years of experience in BI/data warehouse design, data engineering, and architecture.
- Have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure.
- Bring strong expertise in data architecture and data modeling.
- Have a high level of English proficiency for professional collaboration.
- Be located in LATAM and able to work remotely.
- Use a personal laptop and be comfortable with company security software and device management tools being installed for the engagement.
- Relevant Databricks, Microsoft Azure, data engineering, or cloud architecture certification is preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platform transformation or migration programs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution designs on Databricks and Azure for each requirement set, ensuring solutions are buildable and consistent.
- Translate the data team's constraints and possibilities into clear options for business and digital teams.
- Guard the architecture, including the Unity Catalog model, integration patterns, medallion standards, and non-functional requirements.
- Arbitrate trade-offs such as speed versus completeness and latency versus cost, providing written recommendations.
- Partner with the client's platform architects to ensure designs align with enterprise standards.
