Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer building backend systems and/or platforms.
- Have 2+ years of experience working with Python.
- Have experience delivering complex projects end-to-end in a cloud-native environment.
- Have experience building or operating production CI/CD, build, or deployment systems.
- Have experience with on-call and incident response.
- Understand distributed systems, containerization, and microservices.
- Have practical experience using generative AI tools in day-to-day engineering workflows.
- Experience with GitHub Actions is a nice to have.
- Experience with Go or Bazel is a nice to have.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex, multi-component features and systems for the Development Infrastructure team's offerings.
- Shape the roadmap for the Development Infrastructure area.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and tools that help Engineering develop and ship changes reliably with less effort.
- Design and implement enhancements to GitHub Actions infrastructure, base Docker images, and build and deployment pipelines.
- Improve the scalability, performance, and cost of infrastructure and pipelines.
- Use AI tools to explore and compare solutions, adapting generated changes to production constraints and considering complexity and long-term maintainability.
- Take ownership of on-call issues, including complex issues with unclear root causes, and fix systemic gaps.
- Participate in planning, code reviews, standups, and other software development lifecycle activities, and coach other engineers on the team.
