Requirements
- Have upper mid-level to senior professional software engineering experience.
- Have significant professional experience with Ruby and experience with at least one other programming language.
- Bring strong engineering foundations across languages and frameworks, including system design, testing and code quality.
- Have experience building and maintaining web applications and APIs in production.
- Be confident working with clients’ technical teams, asking good questions and pushing back when needed.
- Have experience using AI coding tools in day-to-day work and the judgement to maintain quality.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Nice to have: experience in a regulated enterprise environment, such as financial services.
- Nice to have: experience building or integrating authentication systems, such as SSO, SAML, OpenID Connect, SCIM or passkeys.
- Nice to have: experience with TypeScript and React, Python or Java.
- Nice to have: a strong interest in security and data protection.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and ship the web applications and APIs that underpin the Board Intelligence platform.
- Lead platform feature work, including authentication and identity.
- Work directly with clients’ IT and technology teams to understand requirements and push back where needed.
- Build to the security and data protection standards expected by regulated financial services clients.
- Work across the stack, including Ruby, TypeScript (React), Python and Java.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and build depth in a critical part of the platform.
- Use AI tools such as Claude Code while maintaining high engineering standards.
