Job Details

Requirements

  • Experience as a classroom teacher, EL/ESL/ELL educator, tutor, coach, or in similar student support.
  • Online instruction experience.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students.
  • Ability to create an encouraging and motivating learning environment.
  • A laptop or desktop computer and webcam.
  • A clean, distraction-free environment for tutoring.
  • Reliable high-speed internet with a connection speed of at least 20 Mbps.
  • Availability often including at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET is invited.
  • Ability to attend at least 80% of sessions claimed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-designed, best-practice math lessons to students seeking support with skills and topics at or below grade level.
  • Provide targeted math support to students in grades K–8.
  • Build professional connections with students and create an encouraging, motivating learning environment.
  • Use supportive corrections while working with students.
  • Conduct recurring virtual tutoring sessions with students across the United States.
  • Attend at least 80% of sessions claimed.
