- Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and have 6+ years of experience, or hold a master's degree and have 4+ years of experience.
- Have proven experience managing vehicle-level testing for safety-critical products.
- Have leadership experience building and developing technical teams.
- Have working knowledge of quality, safety, and security standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, or ISO 21448, or equivalent.
- Have experience with scenario-based verification and validation approaches for autonomous systems.
- Have experience with industry-standard certification testing such as EuroNCAP.
- Bring strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
- Have experience processing vehicle data collected with ground truth equipment, such as high-precision GNSS/INS or LiDAR reference systems, for ADAS/AV testing.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the vehicle test strategy in accordance with relevant safety standards, including ISO 26262 and ISO 21448.
- Lead and mentor test engineers responsible for vehicle-level test case development and reporting.
- Partner with systems engineering, software development, and test operations to establish verification and validation priorities.
- Ensure requirement verifiability.
- Drive scenario-based testing methods to scale coverage across the operational design domain.
- Ensure the suitability and continuous improvement of vehicle test platforms and toolchains.
- Manage test budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent vehicle programs.
- Prioritize testing using upstream test results to address risks.
- Communicate test status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and represent the vehicle test organization in program and safety case reviews and audits.
- Coordinate software tool qualification processes and stay current on emerging V&V technologies for autonomous driving.
