Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend); 2+ years of experience using TypeScript; 2+ years of experience working in node.js for web applications backend

Hold a BS/MS in computer science or a related field.
Have 3+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
Have 2+ years of experience using TypeScript.
Have 2+ years of experience using Node.js for web application backends.
Be highly skilled in unit testing and have experience with the Jest testing framework.
Be highly skilled in RESTful API design and REST API usage.
Be proficient in data modeling, static typing, and SQL.
Be proficient in Docker.
Have experience with event-driven or real-time systems.
Have experience with TypeScript/JavaScript backend frameworks such as NestJS.
Have experience with Python, GoLang, or C#.
Have experience with Kubernetes and Postgres.
Additional qualifications include Kubernetes with kustomize or Helm, MongoDB, or gRPC experience.
Experience in e-commerce software, checkout processes, payments, virtual POS, or related systems is preferred.
Experience with React or React Native, Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, or CQRS is a plus.

Optimize highly concurrent systems.
Scale store operating systems from small stores to large venues.
Make design decisions while developing core backend microservices.
Work with app developers and product managers to understand use cases and potential bottlenecks.
Work with deployment engineers to help deliver what you build to clients as quickly as possible.
