Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of technical experience in analytics, or a Master’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Have intermediate proficiency with Python/PySpark and Databricks.
  • Have hands-on experience designing data models, taxonomies, schemas, versioning approaches, and conflict or precedence rules.
  • Have intermediate Power BI expertise, including DAX, semantic modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Have experience developing front-end user interfaces with TypeScript using Angular or React, or with Python frameworks such as Streamlit or Dash.
  • Be able to evaluate complex data and business situations independently and make sound technical decisions.
  • Be able to work standard Central or Eastern Time business hours.
  • Be willing to remain in the position for at least 12 months before pursuing other internal opportunities.
  • Preferred: full-stack development connecting front-end applications to back-end data stores.
  • Preferred: intermediate experience with Power Automate.
  • Preferred: understanding of UX and information architecture for dense, expert-user applications.
  • Healthcare-related data experience is an advantage.
  • The remote setup requires reliable internet connectivity of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, and a dedicated workspace suitable for protecting confidential information.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems using internal and external data, and translate findings into actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Design and maintain data models, taxonomies, schemas, versioning approaches, and conflict or precedence rules.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI solutions, including DAX, semantic models, dashboards, and performance tuning.
  • Build data-driven applications and user interfaces using TypeScript frameworks such as Angular or React, or Python tools such as Streamlit and Dash.
  • Use Python and PySpark within Databricks to process, analyze, and transform data for business intelligence applications.
  • Combine front-end experiences with back-end data sources to deliver integrated analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of business intelligence tools, technologies, applications, and practices.
  • Exercise independent judgment on technical approaches and influence departmental strategy through technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and create solutions for complex expert-user workflows.
  • Support data quality and usability while developing knowledge of relevant systems, policies, tools, and business processes.
