Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience in QA or test automation.
- Have 4+ years of hands-on test automation coding in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Have 2+ years of BDD test authoring with Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Have 3+ years of web UI test automation using a page object model; Playwright is preferred.
- Have 2+ years of end-to-end QA ownership, including defining, documenting, building, and maintaining tests.
- Have 3+ years of requirements analysis and stakeholder communication.
- Have 2+ years of SQL querying to validate database state, using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Have 3+ years of exploratory testing and precise multi-step defect reproduction.
- Be able to drive automation and own the build with limited direction.
- Be detail-oriented and able to identify edge cases and specification gaps.
- Hands-on JavaScript or TypeScript automation coding is required; willingness to learn alone is not sufficient.
- Mobile app testing and automation, especially with Flutter, is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with Appium or Flutter integration_test is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Own the quality process end to end and build the automated test framework hands-on.
- Understand how the multi-repo system works from client, end-user, and internal operations perspectives.
- Clarify requirements with stakeholders and document expected behavior.
- Author English-readable scenarios in Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Build automation in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Drive the UI through a page object model and add data-test-ids to React code where missing.
- Validate database state using SQL.
- Maintain automated tests as new features arrive and contribute to requirements for planned features.
- Run exploratory testing, reproduce multi-step defects, and identify edge cases.
- Flag compliance, regulatory, and security implications and build a repeatable, documented QA process.
